PEDIATRIC DENTISTRY

Seeing your dentist regularly for dental checkups is an important step in protecting your oral health for the long term. At Capstone, we recommend visiting the dentist for a complete oral exam twice per year, every six months, and more frequently if issues arise. The dentist will be able to alert you to any signs of tooth or gum issues that may have developed since your last visit. Early detection and treatment of any oral health issue is key to protecting your oral and overall health.

WHY DENTAL CHECK UPS ARE IMPORTANT

Many adults have mild to moderate signs of periodontal (gum) disease and are not aware they have a problem. Bleeding or tenderness of the gums while flossing is not normal and can be corrected.
Whether you have no teeth, all-natural teeth, or restorations, such as crowns, bridges or dentures, it remains important to maintain regular dental care and checkups throughout your lifetime. Children can begin seeing the dentist with their parents during infancy and carry on into their senior years. It is never too early or too late to protect your oral health with regular dental checkups.
